What is Wyman’s role?

Rockstar’s wording makes Wyman the contact for a hunt-and-restore activity. That is a very GTA idea: a slightly odd local with a garage, a long list of cars he wants and no questions about where they come from. What we do not know yet is whether he is a story character, a recurring side-mission giver, a business owner or a one-time Ultimate Edition contact.

How is he connected to classic cars?

His confirmed commission is the Classic Car Collection. Players find project vehicles around Leonida and restore them. Rockstar has not named the full car list, explained the repair system, or said where the cars are hidden, although the state stretches from Vice City to the backwoods of Mount Kalaga, so there is plenty of ground to cover.

Is Wyman exclusive to the Ultimate Edition?

The Classic Car Collection is an Ultimate Edition benefit, so the commission comes with that edition. That does not prove Wyman is absent from the base game story.
