Grassrivers is GTA 6’s major wetland environment, inspired by the ecosystems of southern Florida. Official images show airboats, mangroves, muddy channels, wildlife and people living beyond Leonida’s urban centers.

What is confirmed

  • Large marsh and mangrove environment.
  • Home to alligators and other wildlife.
  • Designed for boats and off-road exploration.
  • One of Rockstar’s six highlighted Leonida regions.

Exploration value

Grassrivers changes traversal by replacing roads and blocks with shallow channels, mangroves, mud, and wildlife. Airboats and off-road vehicles appear naturally suited to the environment, while the alligator screenshots show that animals are not confined to decorative background scenes.

Evidence and limits

Four named location screenshots and additional wildlife images confirm the wetland setting. Rockstar has not detailed hunting, animal attacks, ecosystem simulation, or how much of the marsh can be explored on foot. Comparisons with Red Dead Redemption 2’s wildlife systems remain analysis.
